What's with the retarded brat title? Slurs and stereotypes hurt, especially when directed at people who can't defend themselves. I don't think John Waters would like you calling his stars "retarded."
His films deserve better and so do people living with special needs.
You didn't watch the video, obviously. That would probably be where you should start before commenting on this blog next time.
HMShore, Divine's character tells Mink Stole's character has the face of a retarded brat. Might want to remember that before you speak for John Waters.
What John Waters wrote in a movie close to 40 years ago isn't relevant today. I thought I would write to him and see what he thinks. If he responds I'll be sure to pop back and let you know. I'm sure he doesn't like the word faggot used inappropriately, why give retard a pass?
Dude he WROTE the script and this was a line that Divine delivered. Have you even seen the movie? Do you know anything about John Waters at all? You seem to be approaching this whole thing from a distant planet. Watch the film - it's called "Female Trouble" - and read about the entire oeuvre of John Waters from beginning to end and I think you're going to be embarrassed. (And if anyone would find the word faggot appropriate, it would be John Waters.)
